The B.S. in Hospitality and Tourism Management combines applied coursework with real-world industry relevance in areas such as lodging, food and beverage, travel and tourism, and sustainability. Students develop strong skills in business decision-making, finance, marketing, leadership, communication, and sustainable management practices to prepare for roles across the hospitality and tourism industry.

HA 301 Supervision in Hospitality and Tourism Management

This course will provide a framework for supervision combined with the responsibilities, skills, and tools necessary to improve the student’s effectiveness as a supervisor.

BA 360 Professional Project

Complete a supervised, hospitality-focused mid-level experiential learning opportunity that applies industry principles to real-world challenges.

HA 402 Leadership in Hospitality Management

In this course, students learn leadership theories and practices within hospitality organizations, emphasizing teamwork, hospitality sensitivity, critical reasoning and integration of skills.

HA 412 Sustainable Tourism

This course is designed to expand the student’s understanding of business principles in conjunction with sustainable practices.
