ADULT-GERONTOLOGY ACUTE NURSE PRACTITIONER

Expand your clinical skills with a Post-Master’s APRN Certificate in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care from Husson University. This program prepares you to deliver advanced nursing care across a range of acute care settings while learning from experienced faculty actively working in the field. Depending on your previous MSN coursework, you’ll complete 18–48 credits to earn your certificate. Upon completion, you can pursue national certification through the ANCC or AACN, positioning you to go further in acute care settings.

FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER

Prepare to provide expert, compassionate care to individuals and families in primary care settings with the Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Learn from experienced, practicing faculty through a curriculum designed to equip you to work with patients across the lifespan, including traditional, nontraditional, and culturally diverse families. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to sit for the ANCC or AANP Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam. The program requires 18–48 credits, depending on your MSN program.

PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER

Help expand access to mental healthcare across the lifespan, from childhood through elderly populations, with this post-master’s certificate. Courses are delivered 100% online by experienced, practicing faculty who provide personalized support. Upon completion, you’ll be eligible to sit for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner ANCC Certification Exam. To earn your certificate, you will need to complete 18–51 credits, depending on your MSN program.

FACULTY SPOTLIGHT

Professor Vaughn is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Rhode Island. Vaughn worked with Brown University’s Cardiovascular team in the Coronary Care Unit and has additional experience managing a philanthropic clinic that provided surgery to marginalized populations with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies. She developed the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program for Husson to address the deficit of acute care nurse practitioners throughout the nation.
